WHO IS SPIKES

Not all heroes wear capes but that doesn't relate to the densely talented, ferociously hardworking artiste & producer called Spikes, an origin of Okpe, Delta state but was born and grew up in the busy hoods of Lagos.

The superstar coined "Monsta" for being a literal monster behind console and microphones', whose real names are Samson Idebe, had a childhood filled with musical backgrounds, risky adventures amidst the struggles of survival, emotional fortification and freedom of expression moulding this superhero in human form

to seek what he found a superpower as a child but wouldn't go on to work on it until mid-secondary school education when His family relocated to Ogun state...

CREATIVITY Speaking through the art of sound FROM A DIFFERENT DIMENSION

During the time He co-founded a music group with his classmates "Exclusive guys" doubling as a rapper and producer(non-professional) and made his first beat for the group via a Nokia c300 phone after getting introduced to a "band garage" app on a classmates' Sony Ericson phone, impressing the go-to studio producer at the time...

He would later move back to Lagos and same way one would think is a divine direction, be introduced to a demo app "Fruity Loops" on a laptop by His Deejay In-law. Discovering this He spent years honing on the craft as a producer and artiste in-between working for a few studios and non-music related organizations.

2020 he would release some demos and garner attention from fans and family, pushing farther and dropping his first EP 2021 "Outlander" an alternative/urban pop inspired project, then he's followed up with the single "Moji" in 2022 & a 7 track EP “THE PROGRAM” same year..

Leveling up on his artistry he dropped another project "IDAN The EP" in 2023 after working on notable joint EPs & singles collabs (as artiste & producer) e.g "Never be the same", "Drifting", "24 hours in abk", "Bambambila" "Falling for you" amidst dropping numerous fire freestyles like "Anticipate" "Ready" "The plan" "Still love again" etc online on audiomack & soundcloud to display his diverse creativity on resampling production and lyricism.

while highlighting the present..

“Reflecting on situation of things and the journey on quest to achieve my dreams, I meditate and warp into a state of formlessness, lost in a galaxy of melodies I took a few elements from there and brought it to life pouring my heart out hence this song”.

He would not be confined to a specific genre as he represents "creativity spreaking through the art of sound from a different dimension" simplified as he works from an alternative, experimental & genre fusionist vantage point but he primarily started out as a rapper so his love for hip-hop would still have influence on some of his music.

Prone to change and an endless wildcards of sounds plus creativity, every project or song is something to always earnestly be excited about & too look forward to..
